Member of a design group responsible for design and plan preparation for a wide variety of civil and transportation projects. Responsibilities may include preparation of contract documents, project design, and occasional field assignments. Tasks may include preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, project design utilizing CAD and integrated design software, software modeling, and report writing. Types of plans produced may include details, roadway sections, right of way, sediment and erosion control, grading and drainage plans, site plans, plan and profile, utilities, marking and signage plans, and traffic control plans. Field assignments may include construction observation or administration.
