Member of a design group responsible for design and plan preparation for a wide variety of civil and transportation projects. Responsibilities may include information gathering, plan preparation using CAD, assisting with project design, and occasional field assignments. Tasks may include reducing survey data, building DTMs, COGO, horizontal and vertical alignments, and cross sections. Types of plans produced may include details, roadway sections, right of way, sediment and erosion control, grading and drainage plans, site plans, plan and profile, utilities, marking and signage plans, and traffic control plans. Field assignments may include performing traffic counts, construction observation, or as a member of a survey crew.
